Fresh wind slabs require caution.
The fresh and older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in particular on northwest to north to southwest facing aspects above approximately 2200 m. In high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are present in all aspects and the danger is slightly greater. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Avalanches can reach medium size in isolated cases, in particular in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation.
Individual mostly small loose snow avalanches are to be expected, especially in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation.
Only isolated medium-sized gliding avalanches are possible. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

In the north 10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen. The wind was strong. In particular in the south up to 15 cm of snow will fall from the afternoon. The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are lying on soft layers at elevated altitudes.
The old snowpack is moist and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a strong melt-freeze crust. This applies on sunny slopes in all altitude zones, as well as on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m.

In the south up to 15 cm of snow will fall. Fresh wind slabs require caution. Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible.
