The somewhat older wind slabs are in individual cases still prone to triggering.

The fresh and older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in particular on west to north to east facing aspects above approximately 2200 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. At elevated altitudes the avalanche prone locations are more widespread. Avalanches can in very isolated cases reach medium size, in particular at elevated altitudes.

Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

Snowpack

dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind

Up to 15 cm of snow will fall.
In many cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust, in particular on sunny slopes in all altitude zones, as well as on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m. Wind slabs are lying on soft layers at elevated altitudes.

Tendency

In some regions up to 15 cm of snow will fall. Fresh wind slabs require caution.

The fresh and older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on west to north to east facing aspects above approximately 2200 m. In high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are present in all aspects and the danger is slightly greater. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Avalanches can reach medium size in isolated cases, in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation in particular at elevated altitudes and.

More frequent mostly small loose snow avalanches are to be expected, especially in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation.

Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

Snowpack

dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind

In particular in the south up to 15 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen. Up to 20 cm of snow, and up to 25 cm in some localities, will fall. In the north 10 to 15 cm of snow will fall. The wind will be moderate. The more recent wind slabs will be deposited on soft layers at elevated altitudes.

Tendency

In some regions up to 20 cm of snow will fall. Fresh wind slabs require caution.

Fresh wind slabs require caution.

The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are mostly small and can be released in isolated cases, especially adjacent to ridgelines, as well as in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation and at elevated altitudes. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.

In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.

Snowpack

In some localities up to 10 cm of snow has fallen. Up to 15 cm of snow will fall. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. This applies on sunny slopes in all altitude zones, as well as on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m.
In particular below the tree line only a little snow is now lying.

Tendency

In some regions up to 15 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
