Avalanches can in isolated cases be released in the old snowpack and reach medium size. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep northwest, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2400 m. Especially slopes adjacent to ridgelines are unfavourable.
The no longer entirely fresh wind slabs of the weekend can still be released in some cases in particular on shady slopes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain above approximately 2400 m. These places are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. The prevalence of avalanche prone locations and likelihood of triggering will increase with altitude.
As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation mostly small wet loose snow slides are possible. This applies on extremely steep sunny slopes. In addition individual gliding avalanches are possible.
