Caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. In high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. Avalanches can in isolated cases be released in the old snowpack and reach medium size. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep northwest, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2400 m.
As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation mostly small wet loose snow slides are possible. This applies on steep sunny slopes.

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to moistening of the snowpack on sunny slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.
